The 2020 Prince Stirbey Novac Sec is a remarkable red wine born from a historic blend of grape heritage. Its ancestors, Negru Vartos from southern Romania and Saperavi from Georgia, unite two of Europe’s oldest wine-growing regions in a variety first cultivated in Drăgășani. These grapes demand careful vineyard management and precise winemaking, resulting in a wine that stands far apart from ordinary varietals. Rather than delivering a blunt, overpowering punch, this wine offers subtlety, depth, elegance, and extraordinary complexity.

Aged for at least a year in 300–400 liter barrels without new oak, the wine allows its fine tannins to remain in the background while its multi-layered aromas develop fully on the palate.
