Neronet Wine from Winery Cech:
Neronet is a dark-skinned grape variety primarily grown in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. It’s a hybrid created by crossing (St. Laurent × Blauer Portugieser) × Alibernet, developed by the Vine Breeding Station in Perná, Czech Republic.
Wine Characteristics:
- Color: Very deep, dark ruby to almost inky purple – known for its intense pigmentation. Often used to deepen the color of other red wines in blends.
- Aroma: Rich and fruity, featuring dark berries like blackberries, blueberries, plums, and sometimes notes of chocolate, coffee, or even a hint of spice.
- Taste: Smooth, fruity, and full-bodied. It can have soft tannins and a silky texture.
- Body: Medium to full.
- Aging potential: Generally good for short- to medium-term aging (3–5 years), though higher-quality versions can last longer.
